January and February Happenings

Spring Welcome Week

The first week of school we hosted a Dollar Dinner, a Taco Bar at the Newman House, and Swing Dancing! Great turnouts for all those events, and some new faces to boot!

Updates and Maintenance

Still need to work on the floor and a vent for the rectory bathroom. The exhaust fan on the Center’s roof was replaced. Sewer pipe should be replaced soon. Not sure when they’ll start working on the replacement of the sprinklers for the fire system at Newman. There is a leak in the roof of the Newman House. And we had both a domestic water pipe and a steam pipe burst at the Newman House because they got too cold. Caused a nice waterfall feature in the downstairs basement, but thankfully was caught before too much damage was done!

Murder Mystery Party

On Feb. 1st we had our annual Murder Mystery Party…a great who-dun-it that is loved by many!

Beloved Dinner

On Feb. 4th the men of the Newman hosted, cooked for and entertained the ladies of Newman, to help them see themselves as the beloved daughters and sisters in Christ that they are. 115 men and women attended!
